The MN Twins have partnered with the Chris Benz Memorial Foundation to create the Save A Life Initiative (SALI). SALI provides resources to foster healthy communities by increasing suicide awareness and prevention for youth and young adults.
Financial contributions to SALI support efforts to increase the number of communities creatively holding events to educate young people (and their families) about the difficult subject of teen suicide, including overtly “programming” throughout their events key, age-appropriate messages of support, encouragement and the importance of young people making healthy choices — because “mental health is a team sport!”
The summer of 2012 features three Baseball Tournaments, a Charity Walk and a Softball Skills Clinic. Monies raised through these events result in grants to their respective community schools to further increase suicide awareness and prevention!:

- The MN Twins Softball Skills Clinic in Golden Valley
(for the Golden Valley Girls Softball Association – a private event;
